Study Team

The NC 56 Corridor Study is funded by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), a regional transportation planning body that helps determine transportation improvements in the Triangle area. The project team also includes staff from Butner, Creedmoor, Granville County, the Kerr-Tarr RPO, and NCDOT. CAMPO has also hired a consultant team to help with the technical work on this study. The consultant team is led by VHB, a local transportation planning and engineering firm, and also includes LandDesign, a land use planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture firm.

Core Technical Team

A core technical team has been established for the NC 56 Corridor Study and will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, and analyzing materials for this study. The CTT is made up of staff from the participating municipalities, organizations, and entities.

VHB is the lead consultant on the project, supported by LandDesign. The project manager for VHB is Don Bryson.

Stakeholder Oversight Team

This study will be guided in part by a Stakeholder Oversight Team, which is a group of government representatives, elected officials, business representatives, and others who have a key stake in the corridor. This group will meet periodically throughout this process to provide feedback to the project team on the issues and opportunities within the corridor.
